  • Awards come from the Council's own funded lists, one per fiscal year:

    • FY2023 list, as of July 11, 2023: 11,027 awards, $541,426,995

    • FY2027 list, as of September 14, 2026: 10,407 awards, $705,704,000
  • Every year's award count and total match Akil's records exactly.
  • Capital projects come from the Council's FY2027 capital list, as of July 21, 2026, and for FY2022–FY2026 from its capital budget data on NYC Open Data, updated December 17, 2025. Each list's totals match its source's own sums.
  • Capital amounts are each list's money for its own fiscal year. Money a list plans for later years stays with that list.
  • 3 capital projects split across two rows in the Open Data copy were rejoined.
  • Amounts are designations, not payments. The city pays through contracts later.
  • A member's own funds are the Local, Youth, Aging and Anti-Poverty amounts each member designates. Other money listed under a member is a Council initiative whose recipients the member chose.
  • Organizations are grouped by EIN. City agencies share one EIN, so they're grouped by name.
  • Districts come from the Council member listed on each award, and from the sponsoring members of each capital project. Awards and projects listed under only the Speaker, a borough delegation or no member are grouped as citywide.
  • Status is the Council's clearance status. The city's award tracker lists paperwork still open.
  • Fiscal years run July 1 to June 30.
